It's true what they say, "What goes around, comes around."
Karma works. It just does!
We believe this so much that we are constantly trying to find ways to keep the world in balance, or maybe slightly leaning toward "better"! We believe in giving back to the community and volunteerism, random acts of kindness (RAK) and paying it forward, and in business practices: always placing our clients' needs first. We hear this from referrals, time and time again. This not only humbles us, but makes us EXTREMELY thankful for all that we have!
We have dedicated this page to various sites that are true to these beliefs. With that in mind, we have listed some great websites that we enjoy and could use a few RAK. If one of these links inspires you to perform your own RAK or you have other websites that could use some acts of kindness, we would love to hear from you. Sir Richard Branson challenges all of us to complete these 15 Random Acts of Kindness during 2017. Ready, set, GO!
On February 15, 2017, we will be holding a REALTOR Blood Drive. The St. Mary's mobile unit will be parked at Bill Heddles Rec Center from 2PM to 4PM. You need not be a REALTOR to give, so join us, if you so desire, to donate blood, You know the saying, "Whatever you do, always give 100%, unless you're giving blood! Then, just give a pint!"
And finally, with eight beautiful grandchildren (and #9 on the way!), we are thankful that our daughters and their wonderful spouses are able to provide a safe and healthy environment for our little Beauties. Others are not so lucky. The Delta County Health & Human Services department told us that the WIC program can always use disposable diapers and personal items. Also, old cell phones may provide communication options to women staying at this website for women's shelters in Colorado.
For those looking to find and take care of many of the stray pets in the Delta County area, Adopt-A-Pet and Delta County Humane Society are both great places to start! And, as winter is fast approaching, please keep your pets warm.
Our son and our youngest daughter are both in the Navy. One is stationed in the homeland and one overseas. For those that are away, we enjoy dropping a line of thanks and occasionally sending a care package to those soldiers who are away from home. If you feel so inclined, we use anysailor.com and adoptaussoilder.org to find addresses for Members of the Military who would love to receive a letter or care package.
Many entities could use extra hands, while trying to complete services to the public. If you are so inclined, consider some of the following options: Delta County Search & Rescue Abraham House Volunteers of America Delta County Memorial Hospital or Delta County Libraries are all great places to start!
These are two of our very favorite videos, helping other to understand that diversity and unity go hand in hand. We hope you enjoy!:;
We will continue to update our page as we find more sites that inspire us. Until then, remember the wise words of Aesop: "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted."
